Are you Kidding? It's Back Again?

Like a really bad penny, the exotic wild animal Bills are back, yet again!

did you see this?

Well, I guessed it would happen. TX SB 958 has been filed for the special session as HB 56 and SB 35. I've attached the link to HB 56, which as the text (follow the links) and I'm told SB 35 is identical. This is the one that not only effects private facilities like zoos, and exotic pet owners, that hold "Dangerous Wild Animals" but also strips a lot of the exemption for vets and licensed rehabbers rehabing these animals. I know nothing about special sessions, but it appears that the bills go through all the stages once again - so maybe, just maybe, if they INSIST on pushing this one through in some capacity we can at least get USDA added back to the list of exemptions, and I sure as hell think all the re-habbers need to be out in force to fight as well for their exemption.

Rumor has it the Bills will not even be heard as the Texas legislators are focused on the Education Bill right now.  I can only pray these two Bills are defeated once again!
