Subject: HB 56 and SB 35
Ms. Brunner,
As you may be aware, HB 56 and SB 35 were not added to the special session call by the Governor and were not passed in the special session. Thanks for your input on this issue. We look forward to working with you in the interim.
Best,
Lyle Larson
Dear Rep. Larson:
This is an urgent appeal to adjust both HB 56 and SB 35 to reflect an open date for those organizations wishing to join ASA.
It is critical the ASA membership cut-off date be changed so an interested party (an ASA pending member) wishing to take over the WAO animals currently living at the now defunct Wild Animal Orphanage will not adversely affected.
Approximately 150 animals lives are at stake. Please sir, push the cut off date back for at least 9 months as this matter is currently pending with the Texas Office of the Attorney General and the Texas Western Bankruptcy Court.
If you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me at home xxxxxwork xxxxxxxxxxx
Thank you very much for your kind consideration regarding this issue -
Sincerely,
Kristina Brunner
