Looks Like Neither the Chicken or the Egg Arrived to Court on Time

Okay, you just know I had to work this pun into the blog--especially after you read the following court documents:

Bankrupcty Court - Porter Poultry & Egg Late Filing

And the court's response to the late filing request?

Bankrupcty Court - Porter Poultry & Egg Filing

If I am reading this correctly, it appears the WAO owes the egg & poultry company over $12k and this debt took place during the end of Nicole Garcia's tenure.

I remember when these purchases took place.  Even though donations were still coming in, it just wasn't enough to sustain all the WAO carnivores.  That was why I recommended the WAO file for bankruptcy (re-organization) and then go out with a mass appeal through the media to help save the WAO animals.  But no.

Sumner said no.

So now, an innocent party is dragged into this bankruptcy mess.  I pray the court eventually does the right thing and ensures this company receives full compensation for the chicken it sold to the WAO in 2010.  For you see, if it wasn't for this company, many of the WAO animals would not be alive today.
