Judge Doesn't Want to Hear the Asvestas Out in Court

It looks like the Judge denied a hearing to the Asvestas regarding their desire to dismiss the entire bankruptcy case:

Hearing Held: ***DENIED***. Order Due to be filed by: DICK DAVIS. . (Related Document(s): 58 Motion to Dismiss Case filed by Lance Geppert for Creditors Carol A. Asvestas, Ronald Asvestas (Attachments: # 1 Exhibit A-last meeting prior to suspension# 2 Exhibit B-Bylaws# 3 Exhibit C-Amd Bylaws)(Geppert, Lance)) Order due by 6/7/2011 (Paez, Daniel) (Entered: 05/26/2011)

Moot Order by Court - 052711

What I found odd was this exhibit and witness list:

Motion to Dismiss Bankruptcy Proceedings - Exhibit and Witness List

Now I know Behaine (Bexar County criminal record on file plus former WAO Treasurer) was in favor of the Asvestas; so who was Cryer testifying for?  The Asvestas' too?  Would not surprise me in the least if this was true.

Now here is where it gets interesting.  Word on the street is Cryer tried to make a deal with the Asvestas -- as head of the WAO she offered to pay the couple off at the tune of $20k (with the stipulation that the Asvestas' never start up another sanctuary again), if the Asvestas dropped their suit against the sanctuary.  Apparently the response was too "colorful" to print, so let's just say the offer was turned down.

Either Cryer wants to hurry up and end the bankruptcy case or she believes the Asvestas have a good case against the WAO.  Either way, she really screwed up when she offered the Asvestas money to drop the suit, assuming of course, the word on the street is correct of course!
