More exposure for Wildcat Sanctuary - http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-526762

CNN producer note

BriCzar told me, 'These cats all pictured were former pets and when they have no where else to go, the Wildcat Sanctuary is there to keep them wild at heart and give them space to roam.'

iReport — Recently when the Wild Animal Orphanage in Texas went under, sanctuary facilities scrambled to find a home for its 400 exotic residents. Tigers were one of the hardest to place given their size, and food and cage bills that come with them. The Wildcat Sanctuary in Minnesota came to the rescue for 5 tigers in need of a home for the holidays.

The US has a reported 6,000-10,000 captive tigers in all kinds of situations. Since there is no law requiring a database no one is really sure just how many are out there. Private owners often can't take care of the "pet" tigers once they have grown and regulations that have no teeth keep this problem going year after year.
