Texas Cats Plays in Snow

Ekaterina, Sierra, T'Savo, Kita (or Kira), and Leyla are settling into a totally new environment.  The following pictures were found on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=243106&id=185864382182&l=40ac12a743#!/photo.php?fbid=455450797182&set=a.455450112182.242779.185864382182)

Wildcat Sanctuary We love all the WAO cats. Ekaterina has been a little full of herself and being sassy to Sierra and her neighboring tigers. She gets spayed this weekend so we hope it will take her down a notch ;) All the WAO cats love greeting their caregivers!!

Since there were a lot of pictures of the tigers, I thought I'd contact the sanctuary to see how the new arrivals, T'Savo and Leyla were doing (especially since Kira arrived with T'Savo and Leyla).  When I tried to obtain pictures of T'Savo and Leyla, I got this response:

Hi Kristina –

There are few pictures of Tsavo and Layla on our FB page wall as well.
We just had a big vet day yesterday so won’t have time for photos for awhile as we are building another tiger pen. [emphasis added]
All the patients did well.
They all love the snow – even Tsavo – she’s such a fun goof.
Layla is such a doll and is so calm.
We are also having an ebay auction that includes some of the cats’ artwork.
You’ll want to watch that on FB as well.

         Hi Tammy -
I was only able to find one picture of Layla on the wall and two pictures of T'Savo at WAO. Can you provide me the FB link of T'Savo at Wild Cat Sanctuary and any additional pictures you may have of Layla?

Many thanks -

Kristina

I thought this was a reasonable request.  I was wrong:

Here is a few of Layla. [she sent me the exact same picture referenced above--twice]
Kristina – I know you care, but I have to put the 100 plus animals in our care first.
We have so much to do given it is winter.
There was one of Tsavo on FB – it seems you found that one.

Thanks.

Wow!  Too busy to attach a photo to an email? Oh come on, is the "Director" really going out to shovel snow or feed and scoop poop for the animals?

Wow!  She has time to post a zillion photos of Sierra (of course she wants to show off the white tiger at every opportunity as she is her new money maker) and Kira (playful one) on the Internet, but when it comes to poor T'Savo and Leyla, she is suddenly too busy?  What?  The medically challenged and elder cats do not warrant the same respect as the tigers?  I guess they just don't bring in the money like the other younger cats.

Or could it be that they are living in small transporters and she doesn't want the world to see how they are living?  What is Tammy hiding?

This is the same kind of stunt Carol Asvestas used to pull on concerned donors or previous owners.  Whenever they inquired about the animals, Carol would always write some cute little write-up about the animals, and then say something like she was too busy to take pictures right now because she was in the middle of another animal rescue, but she would send some as soon as she could -- which essentially meant never.  OMG!!  Is Tammy another Carol in the making?

Here's something to chew on -- if she is soo busy, then why can't one of her animal caretakers send me some photos?  It's not like I expected the photos to be sent to me immediately...and attaching a photo to an email takes, what -- 2 minutes?  I'll bet the workers took lots of snappies of the animals.  So why can't they communicate with me instead of the director?

Leyla and T'Savo will be in my prayers tonight.  May God Bless and Keep them always.  This is just heartbreaking.
