Two False Videos and One Honest Video

One of the issues I have had for years is the WAO falsely portraying the non-profit sanctuary to the public, especially on the Internet.  For instance, lying about having an "on-site veterinarian," a "feral cat rehabilitation center," "both sites inspected by USDA or Texas Parks & Wildlife," and even posting dead animals on the website, or animals not even living at the WAO, were all examples of such gross lies that sadly deceived the public for years.

In light of all the disastrous take-over by the Cryers, I had thought that at least the lies would end on the Internet.  Again, I was wrong.  Below are two videos which the WAO put out this week seeking donations from the public to care for the WAO animals.  If you never visited the Talley or Leslie Road facility, then you would not think to question whether or not the animals portrayed in the video actually lives at the WAO.  Sadly, you, too, were deceived once again:

The WAO does not have a cheetah, unless they resumed taking in animals.  The only big cats left at the WAO are supposedly tigers and one lion.  And I don't recognize this primate species living behind a chain-linked fence at the WAO, since the primate enclosures were constructed out of cattle panel.

More lies:

I guess when you have another criminal operating the WAO from the same old WAO playbook, then nothing changes.

On the other hand, below is an example of an excellent video highlighting the mission of its organization.  This video is successful because it shows the viewers  the difference the sanctuary is making the animals' lives.  For a sanctuary, nothing speaks louder than positive outcomes, such as the before and after pictures highlighting the importance of this sanctuary's mission without denigrating former owners or the WAO sanctuary.

Remember, there are bad sanctuaries and bad animal owners out there.  If you look at this situation from this paradigm instead of saying all sanctuaries are bad or all pet owners are bad, then you can truly appreciate the successes of both groups.
