Noelle the Cougar Arrived in Alamogordo NM

I learned today that Noelle, the wild born cougar, was taken to the Alameda Park Zoo in Alamogordo, NM last week.

She arrived in good condition and now lives next to a male cougar whom I understand Noelle has taken a shine to.

Noelle used to live at Talley Road next to several tigers in the quarantine area.  Here is a picture of Noelle at Talley Road:

I wrote to the Alameda Park Zoo, asking if they could send me some pictures of Noelle in her new home.  I hope to have the "after" pictures available soon.  I pray she is enjoying her stree-free home in New Mexico!

Update:

I just received a picture of Noel and her cage mate Rocky today (November 22, 2010).  Noel looks so much happier and relaxed compared to how she used to behave at the WAO.  I am thrilled beyond belief that she is not living alone any more--thank God for Rocky!!  And thank you, Steve for the photo -- it truly made my week!
