Update on Boris, Tiny, and Natasha

I just spoke with Pat Craig today and the three bears are doing great!  They are all living together in a 5-6 acre habitat.  According to Pat, Boris is enjoying laying around his area as he is not as rambucious as Tiny.  Natasha has taken a liking to Boris and is often seen with him.  She only acts up when food arrives as she likes to be the first bear to eat. All three bears are eating like crazy!

The other 22 bears are enjoying their new habitat as well.  There are several in-ground ponds which the bears are slowly exploring.  The bears are not used to the sloping ground in the ponds, so thus far, no bear has been seen swimming in the pond.  The bears mainly stay close to the water's edge.

The weather is slowly getting colder at night (37degrees) and most of the bears elect to stay in their underground dens until the temperature rises.  Sometime around Thanksgiving, the bears are expected to begin their hiberation process.  That means the bears will remain in their dens until winter passes.

Pictures should be forthcoming of the three bears living together and the 22 bears exploring the ponds.  I cannot wait to see how the three bears are doing.  It goes without saying how much I miss Boris!

Thank you Pat for the update and for your invitation that I can call you anytime for an update on the bears--finally, someone who understands how I feel about the animals!
