Two Cougars from WAO are Going to Cedarhill

http://www.cedrhill.org/

Two cougars from WAO are coming to Cedarhill….

I mentioned in my last newsletter that Wild Animal Orphanage, WAO, was having financial trouble. As of September 1, the USDA and Texas State Attorney General are closing WAO and ordering all 320 animals to be placed elsewhere within 60 days. The two cougars, Taz and Little Joe are 15 years old and live with 2 other cougars. I have used every inch of our land, but we are able to build an enclosure beside the new animal care building. We will build their houses out of septic tanks as we did for the lions and tigers. They currently live on a hard surface so we are going to sod Bermuda in their enclosure. We need help with building their enclosure, so please check your insert that you want to help build the cougar enclosure and I will send you a picture of the finished habitat with the two new cougars.
